What the DNA stores
Appearance genes
Appearance clusters can shift as the HashBeast mutates and evolves.
Gameplay genes
Five power clusters support strength, multiplier, and progression upgrades.
Rebirth generation
The generation lane tracks how many times the asset has recycled, up to seven.
The three mutation events
When a mutation fires on a claim, the contract can update DNA, XP, active multiplier, accumulated dBTC value, and country-cycle score. Stronger events are rarer and count more.
Evolution
The rare major jump. It changes stage, boosts score, and can reshape the portrait.
Power
A stronger power event. It focuses on gameplay strength and multiplier growth.
Trait
A smaller visual or secondary shift that still leaves a real DNA mark.
Evolution is rare
Mutation chance is paced by claim context, active multiplier, country volume, per-round mutation pressure, and cycle targets. Stronger operators should feel earned, not automatic.
Current tuning uses a 20% base mutation chance, a 0.25% floor, a 25% cap, 12 target mutations per cycle, and a 240-round cycle target.
Rebirth generation
Rebirth generation is part of the DNA lane. It starts at 0, increments when the owner cashes out stored dBTC through rebirth, and caps at 7.
Breeding uses that generation too: parents must be the same country and the same rebirth generation. That keeps the lineage readable instead of letting every asset mix with every other asset forever.
